Scope and Contents
The letter contains information on CHOG in Poplar Bluff. It states that the original congregation met for Sunday schoolbut did not have an established place. The congregation became more established with a tent meeting on June 30th, 1914. After the meeting, services begame more regular in homes until the congregation moved into a store building. The letter states the East Side School House was purchased in Spring of 1917 and then construction of a new church building began in the Fall of 1924. The dedication for the new building was held on the March 21, 1925. Between the years 1947-48, brick structures were erected in the same location of the church.
