Beginning of the CHOG in Alliance dates back to 1922 when people moved from Charleston, WV to Alliance.

A building was purchased and moved to N. Lincoln Ave. and W. Perry St. First service in the building was on Christmas night, 1925. Buliding was dedicated in April, 1926.

Ground broken for a new church building in June, 1941 and was dedicated on July 12, 1942.
