Scope and Contents
Letter contents include a brief history of the church in Barryton. The earliest date is recorded as 1892 when a prayer meeting among other serives began to be held. In 1896, there were was a three week revival and the first regular sessions held in the Covert Schoolhouse. In 1897, there were tent meetings. Letter continues and states that worship occured in Town Hall in the winter of 1934 until another church offered a place for services and worship to be held. Then in 1938, the church acquired their own building where further services. The letter also mentions that there were three separate factions within the church at one time with no further explanation of what that entailed.
