High Point, NC. CHOG
Scope and Contents
Answering a notice placed in the Gospel Trumpet by R.I. Grant requesting a minister to establish a CHOG in High Point, Rev. Roy Kendall came to High Point in Dec. of 1922 and began to conduct home prayer meetings.
Sunday school and preaching services began in the spring of 1923.
Sotre buildings rented as a location for regular church services. Vacant 3 room house rented on Pendolph St. for services.
No offerings taken except in Sunday school classes. A box was located in the entrance for persons to contribute.
Property purchased in late 1925.
Small church building erected and dedicated.
