Robert Frost. Neither Out Far Nor in Deep, NY: Spiral Press, 1935.

1st edition, limited (1/450) hand-tied paperwraps, w/dj. Issued as a Christmas greeting, this copy has the "Elinor & Robert Frost" imprint, and is also specially signed by Frost in full on the title page. Frost seldom personalized these Christmas cards, and full signatures are most uncommon. Illustrated with a woodcut by J.J. Lankes. These little Christmas greetings were originally introduced by Joseph Blumenthal at the Spiral Press without Frost's permission, though they quickly became a seasonal tradition for Frost and Blumenthal. The present item is just the third (Crane B3) in what became a long series of Christmas greetings. A beautiful copy, of which the early issues are now quite scarce. Mild offsetting to the FEP from the distinctive Japanese Kikone paperwraps, as in all copies we have inspected over many years, else bright and fine. Very scarce signed.
