Materials Specific Details

This is the informal account of Robert Frost's remarkable trip to Russia which Frederick B. Adams made with him as close froend and official companion. It relates Mr. Frost's meetings with the chief literary figures in the Soviet Union and, as the climax of the journey, his meeting with Krushchev. The text is somewhat expanded from a talk given at the Club of Odd Volumes in March, 1963, and later repeated at the Grolier Club.

THe book, of which the title-page is printed over-leaf, consists of 48 pages, 6 3/8 X 9 5/8 inches, with five pages of photographs, and two wood-engravings by Thomas W. Nason, printed from the original blocks.

The edition is limited to 500 copies of which 250 copies only are for sale. THe book has been designed by Joseph Blumenthal and printed at The Spiral Press, New York, with collotype plates by the Meriden Gravure Co. The type is Bluer, on Curtis Rag paper, bound in cloth and roma paper over boards, and with a slip-case. Publication in November. Five dollars per copy.
