Materials Specific Details
1st edition, limited (354/751) numbered and signed, cloth spine, w/original publisher's slipcase. A stunning association copy, with the poet Louis Untermeyer's distinctive dragon bookplate on the front pastedown. Beautifully designed and printed by Joseph Blumenthal at the Sprial Press. (Crane A30.) THe text includes many of Frost's memorable poems, including "A Young Birch", "An Unstamped Letter in Our Rural Letter Box", "One Step Backward Taken", and many others. Louis Untermeyer was a well known friend and trusted colleague of Frost's, who wrote the introduction to Frost's THE COMPLETE POEMS (Limited Editions CLub, 1950) and edited THE LETTERS OF ROBERT FROST TO LOUIS UNTERMEYER (Holt, 1963). A fine copy showing only minimal wear, with the original slipcase lightly worn at corners. A lovely publication, and a superb association copy, boldly signed by Frost.
