Materials Specific Details

First edition. Inscribed by the author on the publication date. With color-illustrated endpapers and numerous black-and-white vignettes throughout by John O'Hara Cosgrave II. Selected, with commentary throughout, by Louis Untermeyer. This copy inscribed in blue ink to Madge Pickard, an author of medical-related non-fiction books. The inscription read, "Somethin there is that doesn't love a wall, Robert Frost." The line is from "Mending Wall," which is included in the book. BOund in buff cloth and illustrated dust jacket. Some toning to jacket, tine nicks at spine head and top corners, minor bumping at foot of spine. All four corners of jacket flaps clipped, not affecting original printed price of $2.50. A near fine copy with a wonderful inscription. Bookplate of Madge Pickard. (22229) 9Crane A26; A26.1
