Materials Specific Details
First edition, first issue with unauthorized poem by Siegfried Sassoon on pp. 341-343. The poem had been written to Graves in letter form, and Sassoon demanded the recall of the edition and excision of the offending pages. A second issue was produced with asterisks marking where the passages had been. Reportedly, one of only approximately 250 copies, although from the number we've seen there must have been 1,000 at least. A very nic copy of a classic autobiogrpahy.
