CHOG was being outgrown in Sidney so a new one was started in the home of R. W. Ward on North Gotdon St. The church building was completed summer 1940 and a new addition was being built in 1949.

Also known as First CHOG. The first meeting was held by L. S. Mowery on 9/22/1941. Sunday school was started by Sam Hutchenson on 1/4/1942. The church building was constructed and held its first servuce Dec 1945 and was free of debt.

The author is unknown. G.H. Colton started recieving the Gospel Trumpet in Sand Lake, FL in 1897. He requested to Gospel Trumpet Co. for a minister to come and preach tthere. A. J. Poulson and wife and L. V. Strickland answered the call in 1898. Their work started in Pool Branch.
