History of the Community CHOG in Wenatchee, Washington
Scope and Contents
Mrs. Carl Hepskind and family moved to Wenatchee in November of 1929. She wrote the Gospel Trumpet Co. in Anderson to secure names of people in the area who subscribed to the paper. Additional names were given to her by H. A. Schlatter: Bro. and Sis. Basone, Kathleen DiMet, Mae Patrick, and Bro. and Sis. Snoddy.
The first meeting was in Mrs. Hepskind's home.
Meetings were held in the basement of The Women's Christian Temperance Union Hall.
Prayer meetings were in homes until 1939 when a room was rented in the Labor Temple for services.
Sunday schoolorganized by A. F. Gray.
By-laws were written and adopted.
A church building was purchased for $350.00. It was dedicated on September 12, 1943.
