Scope and Contents
Three CHOG families moved from Mississippi to Hubbard, Texas between 35-40 years before the letter was written.
Revival was held at Cottonwood school house in November of 1914.
Much credit given to George Edward Wright for his ministry to the church. Born June 15, 1875.
Sunday school began in August of 1946.
Property purchased and foundation was laid for a church building. The church building work in March of 1948, and the first sermon was preached on April 25.
The pastor at the time of the letter, Henry E. White, was born September 21, 1902. He became a member of the CHOG in 1945.
