Item
Scope and Contents
J. H. (Eaner?) Brook wished to be baptized without joining the church. Since there was no church in the area who would baptize him without having him join their particular church, he wrote the Gospel Trumpet Co. requesting that they send someone to the community to baptize him. (Unidentified) O'Neal and (Unidentified) Carter were sent. They baptized Mr. Brook and preached in a school building while they were in the community. This happened around 1912.
